Nokia + Microsoft = ?
So as you may or may not know, Nokia is ditching its Symbian OS in place for Microsoft's Windows Phone 7. This is a pretty big deal. Nokia promised lots of things in store for Symbian but now they are just dropping it all together. This will be a really good move for Microsoft as it will popularize their new OS.
So two companies that were once on top of the mobile phone market are coming together, should be a interesting ride. WinPhone7 doesn't look too promising to me but i guess time will tell, maybe Nokia will be able to make it into something great.

I'll stick with my HTC Droid Incredible.
ReplyDeleteAw, that's actually a bit sad. I hate to have only 2 choices in Phone OS's.
ReplyDeletehell no i hate windows symbian is still good
ReplyDeleteit does sound promising. perhaps nokia can take back the throne of mobile phones.
ReplyDeleteNice post!!!
ReplyDeleteI wait on my blog!!
i would not be surprised if they did it agen, nokie and microsfot are getting taken out by apple! nice post
ReplyDeletebetter for microsoft, i could see them, in the end, acquiring nokia
ReplyDeleteIsn't Nokia dead yet?
ReplyDeleteI think Windows Phone 7 has no big future. The Apple iOS for perfect design and Android for good performance and productivity will rule the mobile world.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, good move from nokia I think.
ReplyDeleteWindows 7 is a much more appealing concept to deal with on a smart phone
looks like a cool phone but what does OS stand for
ReplyDeleteWatch out Apple and Android!
ReplyDeleteI prefer Android. Another platform will just make extra work for developers.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it's goingn to be a true merger, a meeting of the minds, or is microsoft just going to absorb them and move on with windows OS?
ReplyDeleteNokia has been falling behind in market share for a good while now.
ReplyDeleteits kinda ugly..

ReplyDeleteCould be a good thing. :)

ReplyDeleteI would totally get one of these
ReplyDeleteWhen windows phone 7 gets more developer support, I might try giving it a shot.
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense as Sony seems to be teaming with Google so Microsoft and nokia both need something more to be able to compete with that plus the ever present apple in the cell phone wars.
ReplyDeletemicrosoft= HO business
ReplyDeleteWindows was going to have to do it sooner or later
ReplyDeleteLooks promising.
ReplyDeleteI gotta get me a new phone. lol.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a slick layout
ReplyDeleteyeah microsoft really caught a wave there
ReplyDeleteMS Phones have always been ugly, Nokia should be able to touch them up a bit.
